Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (412) 244-4188. Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great place to get in a hit. Was able to chat with one of the guys who teaches at and helps maintain the courts. They seem dedicated to keeping on with the improvements.

I actually don't play tennis , but the courts are kept up, clean , rom for watching or waiting for a court to open. There is base ball field, and playground , covered pavilion, restrooms open to the public. I my self enjoy the trails that surround the park. I have walked through the park in all seasons and there's always something to do take in and enjoy alone or with friends & family.

I went past here so I could do my grounding. Or earthing and as I was doing that I did look at a couple of players, they seem to be good at what they were doing. But I personally was not playing Tennis on that court. There were. I believe 4 of them in a row. I don't know how you reserve the court, but I'm sure there's a sign. Somewhere the places huge they have softball, they have a playgro and they have. And they are at the entrance to a bike trail

Great park very clean. Busy for a weekday. Parking lot could be bigger. The jogging trails are nice and maintained well. The clay tennis courts are great and well maintained. They have a few picnic benches and bleachers to watch your friends play tennis. Great place to go if you want to get out of your house.
